The Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites students transferring from other institutions to join the Wayne State University family! On-Site Admission at Extension Centers

Various WSU Extension Centers
Undergraduate Admissions will hold On-Site Admission sessions at three of WSU's Extension Center locations for students interested in applying for the winter 2009 semester. During the session, students will be able to submit an application and all required materials and receive an admission decision the same day. Interested students will also be able to meet with financial aid officers and transfer credit evaluators. Sessions will be held:* Tuesday, December 9th - Macomb University Center* Wednesday, December 10th - Wayne County Center* Thursday, December 11th - Oakland CenterAll sessions are 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Scholars Day Suggested Application Deadline

Scholars Day is a series of invitation-only events for the university's most promising incoming freshmen. The Irvin d. Reid Honors College selects its freshman class from those that participate in Scholars Day. All students that are invited to and participate in Scholars Day will receive at least a $1,500 scholarship, renewable for up to four years. The Scholars Day program for students entering WSU in Fall 2009 will take place in February 2009.In order to be considered for an invitation to Scholars Day, students must have a cumulative 3.5 grade-point average at the end of junior year and be admitted to the university by January 15. Students are selected to receive an invitation based on the application for admission to the university; there is no additional Scholars Day application.To ensure sufficient processing time, it is suggested that students submit all admission application materials by December 15.
